Newly Named Director Rejoins the Firm Where he Began his Career

MORRISTOWN, N.J., April 10, 2014 – Andrew Schwartz has rejoined Cushman & Wakefield as a director in the Metropolitan Area Capital Markets Group (CMG), announced Kimberly Brennan, the firm's New Jersey market leader. He will be based in Cushman & Wakefield's Morristown office and will focus on middle-market investment transactions in the $2-15 million range.

"We are pleased to once again have Andy in our ranks," said Brennan. "He began his career at Cushman & Wakefield, and after spending the past 15 years on Wall Street, brings a wealth of financial knowledge and experience to his new position."

Schwartz initially joined Cushman & Wakefield in 1985 as a broker in industrial sales and office leasing for eight years before leaving for Wall Street and the financial services industry. Most recently, he spent 11 years with Abel Noser, an agency broker and quantitative analysis firm where he provided customized financial analysis to investment managers at such firms as AllianceBernstein, Soros Fund Management and Wellington Management. Prior to that he was a financial adviser for Morgan Stanley.

"Over the years, I have always maintained a great interest in real estate, primarily as a principal," said Schwartz, who is a graduate of Rice University with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. "In returning to commercial real estate brokerage, my desire was to specialize in the capital markets/investment sales area, which is a perfect combination of what I've been doing on Wall Street and my previous experience in commercial real estate.

"Cushman & Wakefield was the ideal match between my professional desire and the CMG's need to expand their focus on the growing opportunity in middle-market investments," he said. "It is also exciting for me to come back to where my career began – and to see so many people I worked with that are still here. I'm very excited about this opportunity."

Based in East Rutherford, N.J., Cushman & Wakefield's Metropolitan Area Capital Markets Group specializes exclusively in investment sales of office, industrial, multifamily and retail properties throughout New Jersey, New York, Fairfield County, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The team has completed more than $17 billion worth of transactions since 2000, closing on $1.5 billion in 2013.
