Speakers Will Discuss How to Best Integrate Sustainability into Commercial Real Estate Projects   

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. (March 26, 2024) – With the growing need to address climate change, the commercial real estate industry must play an important role in identifying and integrating sustainable solutions. NAIOP New Jersey will further the conversation with its “Moving Past the Buzzwords: CRE & Sustainability” dinner program on Thursday, April 11. The event will take place at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Berkeley Heights, beginning with cocktails and networking from 5 to 6 p.m. 

Gregg Woodruff, PP, AICP, LEED AP BD+C, associate principal/sustainability leader at Langan, will lead the evening’s thought-provoking conversation, with topics to include cutting-edge low-carbon concrete, energy-efficient retrofitting, and the ins and outs of public funding.

  • Kayla Reddington, regional sustainability manager for PA/NJ, Turner Construction Company 
  • Chris Venezia, director of LSRP services, ESA Environmental Consultants 
  • Sean Sonnemann, senior project officer of Clean Energy, NJEDA

This event will deepen our understanding with a meaningful, in-depth discussion around sustainability and energy-efficient solutions,” said Dan Kennedy, NAIOP NJ CEO. “It is our responsibility to be a part of the solution by aiming to improve energy efficiency and focusing on lowering the use of carbon-based power sources in the commercial real estate industry.”
