Achievement Reflects Wayne, N.J., Skilled Nursing Facility’s Quality Care and Services

Arbor Ridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center

WAYNE, N.J. (Dec. 14, 2023) Arbor Ridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Wayne has earned a Five-Star Overall rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Located at 261 Terhune Drive, the 120-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.

“Arbor Ridge’s Five-Star Overall rating reflects the commitment of the facility’s entire team to provide superior care and services,” said Kani Burgos, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Arbor Ridge. “The facility has distinguished itself for low hospital re-admissions rate and “patient-centered, high-quality care, becoming a destination of choice in the region.”

As part of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, CMS is responsible for quality standards in long-term care facilities through its survey and certification process; it gives each nursing home a rating of between one and five stars. Facilities with five stars are considered to have above-average quality. “CMS’s Rating System is highly respected; on a daily basis, it is relied upon by consumers, families and caregivers, as well as business partners,” noted Burgos.

Arbor Ridge is in the midst of a multi-million-dollar, top-to-bottom renovation. The modernization has already introduced significant updates; the ongoing work includes a building expansion featuring a new, 3,000-square-foot therapy gym and the incorporation of a spacious activities of daily living (ADL) suite. Further upgrades also include the addition of 30 new private rooms.

Alongside the renovation, Arbor Ridge has continued to enhance the facility’s specialized programming in partnership with leading regional healthcare providers. Offerings include Pulmonary Care, Cardiac Care and Physiatry Services, among others.

Arbor Ridge’s dedicated Korean cultural program also distinguishes the facility, centering on a culturally authentic environment for the care and comfort of Korean seniors. More information on Arbor Ridge and its programing can be found at
