Appointments at Westgate Hills and Meadow Park Enhance CKD Management Offerings

BALTIMORE/CATONSVILLE, Md. (March 23, 2023) — Two Baltimore County skilled nursing facilities – both clients of Marquis Health Consulting Services – have announced the addition of board-certified vascular surgeon and wound care specialist Mouhamad O. Annous, MD, to their clinical teams. The appointments enhance in-place Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Management offerings at both Westgate Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Baltimore and Meadow Park Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Catonsville.
A highly respected physician in the Greater Baltimore area for more than 40 years, Dr. Annous holds certifications in both general and vascular surgery from the American Board of Surgery. He is affiliated with Premier Vascular Center of Maryland and the major hospital systems in the region, including the University of Maryland Medical System and Johns Hopkins Health System.
“By incorporating a vascular partnership such as this, Westgate Hills and Meadow Park are leveraging established connections with top healthcare providers and health systems,” said Marquis’ Nikki Gachot, regional director of market development. “These facilities are helping lead the way in introducing progressive skilled nursing services in the region.” Recently, Dr. Annous also joined the clinical team at Marquis-supported Orchard Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare center in Towson.
CKD Management aims to preserve kidney function and prevent further decline through a balance of treatment and education. CKD Management services at both Westgate Hills and Meadow Park include onsite hemodialysis and the management of dialysis ports and wound care for nephrology patients.
- Westgate Hills’ CKD programming is under the direction of board-certified nephrologist Youssef Hokayem, MD, and its onsite hemodialysis operates in partnership with Concerto. The center is located at 10 North Rock Glen Road in Baltimore; more information can be found at westgatehillshc.com.
- At Meadow Park, board-certified nephrologist Dr. Kamal Sewaralthahab serves as the CKD program director, and its onsite hemodialysis operates in partnership with Dialyze Direct. The facility is located at 1525 N Rolling Road in Catonsville; more information is available at meadowparkrehabhc.com.
