Easter Egg Hunt, Pet Photos and Model Trains Promise a Fun-Filled Month

POTTSVILLE, Pa., March 7, 2012 – A special Easter Egg Hunt and model train display will make for a fun-filled April at Fairlane Village Mall in Pottsville. Area residents of all ages are invited to hop on over and enjoy the fun.
- Mon., March 26 through Sat., April 7 – The mall’s Fourth Annual Easter Egg Hunt continues into April. Children 12 and under can pick up a participation form in the Mall Office or at the Easter Set display and search throughout the mall to find hidden eggs. Once the form is complete, participants will be entered to win one of many Easter baskets stuffed with prizes and candy (courtesy of participating mall stores).
- Wed., April 4 – Shoppers are welcome to bring their favorite furry friends to have their photos taken with the Easter Bunny from 5 to 8 p.m. Animals must remain leashed or in a cage while in the mall, and exotic animals are not permitted. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their own animals. High quality digital photo packages are available for purchase.
- Sun., April 8 – The mall will be closed in observance of the Easter holiday.
- Wed., April 18 through Sun., April 22 – Learn about the history of the Reading Railroad at this interactive model train display hosted by The Reading Company Technical & Historical Society. The model trains, which shoppers will be able to run themselves, will feature authentic sounds and intricate details that bring railroading to life.
Fairlane Village Mall, “Where Schuylkill County Shops For Value,” is located on Route 61 North, just a mile from downtown Pottsville. For the second year in a row, Fairlane Village Mall was named Best Shopping Center in the annual “Best Of” competition sponsored by Schuylkill Living Magazine.
