Law Firm Occupies 77,000 Square Feet at Alfred Sanzari Enterprises' Class A Office Complex
HACKENSACK, N.J., Jan. 13, 2015 – Cole, Schotz, Meisel, Forman & Leonard P.A. has renewed its lease at Court Plaza North, located at 25 Main Street in Hackensack, N.J. A tenant at the Alfred Sanzari Enterprises-owned and managed Class A office complex since 1986, the law firm occupies approximately 77,000 square feet on the third, fourth and fifth floors.
The transaction was negotiated in-house by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. David Simson of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the tenant. Legal counsel for Cole Schotz was provided in-house by Michael E. Jones, Esq. and Jan Alan Lewis, Esq.
"Court Plaza's downtown Hackensack location and ample on-site amenities have served our clients and employees well for many years," said Glenn R. Kazlow, Cole Schotz's administrative partner and general counsel. "Cole Schotz has experienced tremendous growth and success as a tenant at Court Plaza. We look forward to a solid future in an office environment that's conducive to providing first-class legal services to our clients."
Founded in 1928, Cole Schotz serves clients nationally throughout the United States with offices in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Texas. The firm represents hundreds of closely held businesses and individuals – many for decades – as well as Fortune 500 companies.
The 335,000-square-foot Court Plaza office complex encompasses Court Plaza North, Court Plaza South and Court Plaza East. Tenants enjoy a landscaped plaza with fountains and seating areas, covered parking, a full-service bank, shoe shine/repair and dry cleaning services, eco-friendly car wash service, a fitness center, public transportation to New York City and Northern N.J., a cafeteria with indoor and outdoor seating, and a common meeting room. Court Plaza is just one mile from Routes 4, 17, and I-80. A key enhancement at Court Plaza is the Alfred and Mary Sanzari Garden, a public garden honoring the legacy of Alfred and Mary Sanzari, co-founders of the real estate development firm.
Space availabilities at Court Plaza range from 462 square feet to 50,000 square feet.
"We are proud of the outstanding relationship we have developed with Cole Schotz over its nearly 30-year history as a tenant at Court Plaza," said Stephen C. Jennings, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises' vice-president of leasing and marketing. "This long-term lease extension speaks volumes to the high level of service Alfred Sanzari Enterprises provides to all its tenants. It also further validates the convenience of Court Plaza's location in downtown Hackensack, adjacent to the Bergen County court system and in close proximity to major highways including routes 4, 17, 80, the Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Turnpike. We look forward to being part of Cole Schotz's continued success for many years to come."
