Respected Geriatrician Leading Memory Care and Chronic Illness Support Initiatives at Rockville, Md., SNF

ROCKVILLE, Md. (Oct. 19, 2023) — Collingswood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Rockville welcomes Geetha Chilakamarri, MD, CMD, as the new director of its in-place memory care neighborhood and Chronic Illness Support program, featuring palliative care services. Located at 299 Hurley Ave., the 160-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.
Dr. Chilakamarri is triple board certified in geriatric medicine, family medicine, and hospice and palliative medicine; she also is a certified medical director in long-term care. Dr. Chilakamarri, who is the owner of SRIG Med LLC Consulting Services, established and expanded Geriatric and Palliative Care services in both Meritus Medical Center and Frederick Health System.
