Skilled Nursing Facility Focused on Comprehensive Care and Services

NEPTUNE CITY, N.J., Aug 25, 2022 — Building on its commitment to comprehensive quality care and services, Coral Harbor Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center has earned two prestigious national recognitions. On the heels of receiving accreditation from The Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care, the Neptune City skilled nursing facility earned the American Heart Association’s (AHA) new Skilled Nursing Facility Heart Failure Center Certification.

Located at 2050 6th Avenue, the 110-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care; it maintains a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Coral Harbor is supported by Marquis Health Consulting Services, a vision-driven consulting company that offers tools and resources to help skilled nursing client facilities become market leaders.

Coral Harbor received Nursing Care Center Accreditation after a rigorous, unannounced onsite review by The Joint Commission, an independent, nonprofit organization. During the visit, its team evaluated compliance with performance standards across a range of areas, including post-acute care, emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, and medication management, as well as rights and responsibilities of the individual and leadership.

The AHA’s new Skilled Nursing Facility Heart Failure Center Certification – earned by less than 1% of skilled nursing facilities nationwide, to date – focuses on program management, personnel education, clinical management, care coordination and performance improvement, as well as patient and caregiver education and support. AHA-defined care strategies and services aim to improve outcomes for those with chronic heart failure and its co-morbidities, and reduce readmissions.

“These national recognitions reflect the dedication of Coral Harbor’s entire team to excellence in skilled nursing care,” said Marquis’ Pam Montemurno, regional director of market development. “At Marquis, we are proud to support facilities that continually strive to enhance the caliber of their offerings and align with respected organizations – like The Joint Commission and AHA – to assure patients and their loved ones that they are receiving the best possible care.”

Coral Harbor is committed to serving as a healthcare resource for the families of patients and the local community. Together with Marquis, it has established a resource library of physician-curated content, addressing many topics of interest for families of patients and the larger community. The library and more information on the skilled nursing facility can be found at
