NAIOP NJ Panelists Offer Key Insights into the Evolution of Office Space
ISELIN, N.J. (Sept. 29, 2023) — Creating new strategies to meet the needs of office tenants in today’s ever-evolving work landscape is the key to regaining value for this vital commercial real estate asset class. NAIOP New Jersey’s annual CEO Perspective, “Dinosaurs to Diamonds/Evolving Workspaces for a Changing Workforce,” brought business leaders and commercial real estate owners/operators together to discuss ways to reestablish vitality for physical office space.
This top-of-mind topic took center stage at the recent dinner program at the Delta Hotel Woodbridge in Iselin. Kimberly Bombery Smith, vice president of Workplace Strategy for JLL, moderated the discussion. Expert panelists included Shane Connell, executive vice president, The Connell Company, Dan Spero, senior managing director, JLL, Sheena C. Collum, Village President/Mayor, Township of South Orange Village, and Ken Narva, chairman and chief development officer, Streetworks Development.
“This insightful discussion focused on changing demand and how commercial real estate practitioners can work to enhance the workplace experience,” noted Dan Kennedy, NAIOP NJ CEO. “We were pleased to bring together some of the industry’s brightest minds to explore ways we can collectively work to implement powerful solutions and avoid the fate of high vacancy rates.”
