Point Pleasant Police Dept. Delivers Handmade Cards Created by Local Youngsters  

POINT PLEASANT, N.J., Feb. 22, 2022 — Residents at Crest Pointe Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Point Pleasant delighted in a special delivery from the Point Pleasant Police Department – handmade Valentine’s Day cards created by local youngsters. The holiday card initiative is part of the department’s ongoing community engagement emphasis. 

A number of area Girl Scouts participated, including troop numbers 60148, 360 and 520, as well as Brownie Troop #633. Local schoolchildren joined in the effort, including those from the Nellie Bennett School, various grades; Ocean Road School, various grades and aftercare program; Point Pleasant Recreation Preschool; and St. Peter’s School. 

“Everyone at Crest Pointe was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and thoughtfulness; Point Pleasant is an incredible community,” said Pam Montemurno, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports the skilled nursing facility. “Our sincere gratitude to the police and children for the beautiful cards. Programs like this are a testament to the Point Pleasant Police Department’s commitment to serving as a facilitator of community engagement.”
