Represents Creative Foam Composite Systems in Expansion and Relocation
BERTHOUD, Colo., April 29, 2014 – Commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield has arranged a new five-year, 78,000-square-foot industrial lease at 2221 Clayton Place, North Building, in Berthoud, on behalf of Creative Foam Composite Systems. Creative Foam was represented by the Denver-based Cushman & Wakefield team of Kirk Vanino and Taylor Hazard. Landlord Berthoud International, LLC was represented by Julius Tabert and Mike Eyer of CBRE.
Creative Foam, headquartered in Michigan, produces core kits for the wind turbine industry. The Berthoud signing marks an expansion and relocation from the company’s existing 60,000-square-foot location in Longmont, Colo. Berthoud is located on Colorado’s Front Range, four miles west of I-25 on Hwy. 56, halfway between Denver and Fort Collins.
The company’s expansion has been prompted by a major increase in orders from Vestas, a Danish wind turbine company. “To keep up with Vesta’s growth, Creative Foam required more production space,” said Vanino. “The company has been in existence since 2008 and in that time has been growing rapidly at both its Michigan headquarters and Colorado location. The company is also getting more and more interest from other industries, including aerospace.
“Creative Foam currently has 30 employees in Colorado and expects that number to increase to at least 60 employees,” said Vanino.
The company’s new location at 2221 Clayton Place totals 84,524 square feet on 4.59 acres. The property includes a detached 9,000-square-foot, three-sided steel storage building.
“The building is being extensively remodeled and upgraded to accommodate Creative Foam’s requirements, including the addition of heavy power and a fire sprinkler system.” said Vanino. “We anticipate that occupancy will be completed in the next few months.”
