Fitness Franchise Enters Long Island Market with 2,200 SF Commitment at 1579 Northern Blvd.

MANHASSET, N.Y., Sept. 12, 2019 – A Cushman & Wakefield retail team based in East Rutherford, N.J. represented fitness chain Mayweather Boxing & Fitness in a 2,200-square-foot lease commitment at 1579 Northern Blvd. in Manhasset, N.Y.  David Townes spearheaded the transaction; Jason Sobel of Ripco Real Estate served as landlord broker. A fall 2019 opening is planned.

1579 Northern Blvd. is situated on the North Shore of Long Island’s “Miracle Mile,” a prominent shopping district in Nassau County. The new Mayweather Boxing & Fitness will be the first suburban New York studio for the fitness chain, created by former six-weight boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Another franchise location is coming soon to Midtown Manhattan.

The brand’s best-in-class fitness concept distinguishes itself by offering class-based boxing and functional training workouts for all fitness levels. “We are pleased to bring Mayweather Boxing & Fitness to Long Island. Its presence will provide those who live and work in the community with an effective new option for meeting their health and wellness goals,” said Townes.
