Cushman & Wakefield Volunteers Serve Meals to Families at Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House
More Than 50 Meals Prepared for Families of Seriously-ill Children

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 14, 2018 – Cushman & Wakefield volunteers recently prepared meals for more than 50 families attending to the needs of seriously ill children at Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House (PRMH). The bi-annual event supports the local institution’s efforts to supply comfort to thousands of families each year.

“Donors like Cushman & Wakefield are essential to our mission of supporting families of seriously ill children by providing a community of comfort and hope,” said Cheryl Harmon, Volunteer Assistant at PRMH. “We are deeply appreciative of the delicious dinner served to our families by their team. Everyone appreciated the care and compassion shown by our guest chefs. This is certainly a tradition that we would like to continue for years.”

With all the ingredients donated by Cushman & Wakefield, the company’s volunteers served a buffet-style meal consisting of baked ziti, meatballs and sauce, salad, rolls, and brownies for 50 families staying at PRMH. An additional 15 “To Go” meals were also prepared for those who could not attend.

“Our hearts go out to the families of these seriously ill children,” said Nora Cabanas, Senior Operations Coordinator at Cushman & Wakefield. “However, the strength they exhibited was truly uplifting. Being a part of the effort to comfort them is something each of us will cherish for a very long time. It was an honor to be there for these families.”

From left to right, the Cushman & Wakefield volunteers were Nora Cabanas, Bill Hirschfeld, Marlene Trzecianowski, Stevannie Sierra and Brian Young.
