May 7th Event will Address Real Estate Trends, Legislation, Finance and Green Buildings

TEANECK, N.J., April 28, 2014 – Sponsored by the Northeast New Jersey Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the 8th Annual Meadowlands Conference is slated for Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Marriott Glenpointe in Teaneck. The day-long event will focus on a variety of business topics including a panel discussion, "The New Jersey Real Estate Market Report."

Robert Rudin, vice chairman of Cushman & Wakefield, will offer his views on the real estate market as part of that presentation. "We will discuss the current state of New Jersey's multi-family, industrial, office and retail markets, as well as recent trends and expectations pertinent to real estate appraisers and real estate values in the current economic environment," said Rudin, who has overall responsibility for the operations of Cushman & Wakefield's tri-state consulting practice.

"Our main focus will be on the forces driving real estate values statewide," said Rudin. "We will also address the national trends that are important in terms of understanding local real estate values in the Meadowlands submarket and the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area."

Joining Rudin on the panel will be John Azarian of the Azarian Group, Kevin Taub of Marcus & Millichap and Anne Strauss-Wieder of A. Strauss-Wieder, Inc.

The program will also include a forecast of national and regional real estate trends by Jeffrey G. Otteau, president of Otteau Valuation Group; and panel discussions on green building protocol.

ACRES Capital's Mark Fogel, President/Chief Executive Officer; Marty Reasoner, Partner; and Michael Bellissimo, Exec. VP/Chief Credit Officer, will discuss ACRES' market segment and their relationship with the Appraisal community.

Great Forest's Amelia Marpman, Chief Operating Officer, LEED AP O + M; Caroline Hazarian, Sustainability Consultant, LEED Green Associate; and Sheila Sweeney, Director of Energy Services, Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) will be speaking on Green Building Protocol.

Also, Anthony Russo, executive vice president of government affairs and communications of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey, will provide a legislative update. And John P. Sipple, senior vice president of Wells Fargo Bank, will discuss "Wealth Management…the Growth of Real Estate Transactions."
