Industry Experts to Address Transportation Project Priorities, Mass Transit, Port Performance, and Impact of E-commerce on Commercial Real Estate

ELIZABETH, N.J., Nov. 21, 2016 – The Port of Elizabeth will provide the backdrop for NAIOP New Jersey’s annual “Transportation & Logistics Update,” which will take place on Tuesday, December 6, at the NYSA Training Center in Elizabeth. Registration and networking will begin at 7:45 a.m., followed by the program at 8:30 a.m.

Transportation and logistics remain key topics of discussion on New Jersey’s economic and real estate landscape. Industry experts will share their perspectives on port performance improvements, whether Uber offers the solution for gaps in mass transit and the latest trends in the global supply chain, automation, e-commerce and omni-channel retailing. They will also discuss what these challenges and opportunities mean for the commercial real estate industry.

Confirmed speakers include David Lambert, assistant commissioner of capital program management, NJ Department of Transportation; Bethann Rooney, assistant director of port performance initiatives, Port Authority of NY/NJ; Matt Powers, general manager of Uber NJ & CT; Tom Connery, president of New England Motor Freight; Stephane Desseigne, CEO USA of SEAFRIGO; and Anne Strauss-Wieder of the North Jersey Transportation Planning Association.
