Annual Youth Ministry Trip Provides an Educational, Spiritual and Charitable Experience for Students and Faculty

RAMSEY, N.J., April 15, 2015 – Don Bosco Prep sponsored its annual Youth Ministry trip to Nicaragua during the school’s winter break. Led by Fr. Manny Gallo, Director of Youth Ministry and a native of Nicaragua, the trip included 24 members of the senior class, faculty mentors and several family members. The students helped build a home at the Mama Margarita Foundation, which provides food and shelter for women and children in need. They also visited Granada Street Kids, a school for at risk youth; helped youth who struggle with disabilities at Los Pepitos house; and fed impoverished workers who collect recyclables at a dump site. The group is shown here visiting Don Bosco Colegio Salesiano, a Salesian technical school in Granada.

Don Bosco Prep is a private, Catholic, college preparatory high school for young men, grades 9 through 12. Administered by the Salesian Society of St. John Bosco, the school offers rigorous academics at the AP, honors and college preparatory levels. Broad offerings are also provided in extracurricular activities, clubs and athletics. Don Bosco Prep is celebrating its Centennial in 2015.
