We’re thrilled to share that Caryl Communications took home two prestigious honors at the Public Relations Society of America, New Jersey Chapter’s (PRSA NJ’s) 2025 Pyramid Awards, including the coveted Best in Show and Content prizes. Our winning entry for Oxford Crossings, a senior living community in Bucks County, Pa., started with one of our favorite-ever human-interest stories.
A Story Worth Telling
We had the privilege of working with an extraordinary 94-year-old resident who, thanks to Oxford Crossings, was able to “travel” to the South Pole via virtual reality, accomplishing her life-long goal of visiting all seven continents. This heart-warming story resulted in a high-profile broadcast feature on 6ABC’s award-winning Art of Aging series, shining a light on an inspirational woman and a senior living community truly focused on helping its residents live life to the fullest. Our campaign well exceeded numerous objectives beyond the feature placement, including boosting website traffic, increasing new lead inquires and generating elevated social media engagement.

Winning both the Best in Show award – the top honor of the evening! – and the Content award reinforces what we’ve always believed: great storytelling and authenticity are at the heart of successful public relations.
In an era of – what can be – information overload, narratives that truly move people stand out. This campaign succeeded because the story was real, the emotion was genuine and the message resonated far beyond a typical media placement. As we often say, the stories we tell are only as good as the stories we have to tell. Oxford Crossings’ dynamic residents and the ways they are uplifted and supported gave us incredible material to shape.
These awards are another reminder of why we do what we do: share messages that matter, shine a light on the people and organizations making a difference, and create campaigns that deliver real results for our clients.
