Back-to-School Fun Highlights Late Summer Happenings

POTTSVILLE, Pa., August 1, 2013 – There's no better place to escape Summer's heat than with a visit to Fairlane Village Mall in Pottsville, Pa., where a lineup of exciting activities are planned throughout August. All events are free and open to the public as follows:
- Mon., Aug. 12 to Fri., Aug. 23: Spend $100 or more in any combination of Fairlane Village Mall stores on the same day and receive a free gift. Shoppers can choose from ear buds, a pen and highlighter set, or a yearly planner. Receipts must be dated during the promotional period and be from the same day. One gift per person, while supplies last. Participants must be 18 years of age or older to claim the free gift.
- Mon., Aug. 12 to Sun., Aug. 25: Shoppers can enter to win a fun back-to-school prize package. Pick up an entry form at participating stores and enter to win a bundle of store-donated prizes along with a $50 Visa gift card to help finish off back-to-school shopping. Completed entry forms can be dropped in the entry box at center court. One entry per person; participants must be 18 years of age or older to register. The winner will be notified by Aug. 28.
- Tues., Aug.13: Children ages 12 and under are invited to meet "Ferrous," one of the mascots of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs minor league baseball team and enjoy a free lunch. The event takes place at noon. All children in attendance will be registered to win a four-pack of field-level ticket vouchers. Advance registration is required to participate. Visit the Mall Office or call (570) 429-1563 by August 8 to sign up for this event.
Fairlane Village Mall, "Where Schuylkill County Shops For Value," is located on Route 61 North, just a mile from downtown Pottsville. For the third year in a row, Fairlane Village Mall was named Best Shopping Center in the annual "Best Of" competition sponsored by Schuylkill Living Magazine.
