Stores Dietitian to Provide Free Recipes and Shopping Lists

HOBOKEN, N.J., Feb. 13, 2014 – As part of its American Heart Month Health Series, ShopRite of Hackensack is hosting a free cholesterol screening on Mon., Feb. 24, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Inserra Supermarkets store is located at 500 South River Street in Hackensack. ShopRite dietitian Emily Johnston, RD, CDE, also will be providing participants and customers with low-cholesterol recipe ideas and suggested shopping lists.
Designed to provide customers with a wellness resource, ShopRite’s retail dietitian program offers free assistance with shopping or meal planning as well as small group and one-on-one counseling. ShopRite of Hackensack also hosts a LiveRight calendar of events for people of all ages. Heart Month events include a friendly fats demonstration and information session, toddler gourmet session and heart-healthy cooking classes.
