Experience in Real Estate Transactions and Corporate and Landlord/Tenant Law Adds to Firm’s Depth

LIVINGSTON, N.J., Aug. 6, 2014 – Aline S. Grossman, Esq., and Nicholas Guarino, Esq., have been named associates at Feinstein, Raiss, Kelin & Booker, L.L.C. (FRKB), a law firm with a concentration in real estate. Grossman’s practice focuses on real estate acquisitions, business formations, the establishment of holding companies, the sale of assets and equitable interests and other business transactions, while Guarino’s core practice area is landlord/tenant law, representing both commercial and residential landlords.

“Aline and Nicholas’ experience in both commercial real estate transactions as well as corporate and landlord/tenant law aligns perfectly with our practice areas and will add even greater depth to our team and be of tremendous value to our clients,” said Larry Raiss, Esq., one of the firm’s co-founders and managing partners. “We are pleased to welcome both of these very talented attorneys to our firm.”

FRKB’s core practice areas include commercial real estate transactions, landlord/tenant law, commercial litigation, corporate law, public entity law, housing discrimination, rent control, municipal matters and tax appeals as well as family law and personal injury. The law firm recently relocated its offices to Eisenhower Corporate Campus in Livingston, N.J.

“FRKB has a well-established reputation as one of New Jersey’s premier law firms and will provide the ideal platform for me to continue furthering my practice of real estate and corporate law,” said Grossman, who resides in Livingston.

Prior to joining FRKB, Grossman was the senior transactional attorney at the law firm of Schepisi & McLaughlin, P.A., where she worked with clients ranging from multi-national conglomerates to single-member startups. Previously, Grossman served as an in-house attorney for Kushner Companies. She earned joint Juris Doctor and Master of Public Administration degrees from Brooklyn Law School and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations.

An active volunteer in the legal field, Grossman serves as a mediator for the New Jersey Judiciary Foreclosure Mediation Program, in which homeowners have access to lenders and counsel for the purpose of resolving loan delinquencies in advance of foreclosure.

Guarino is a graduate of Rutgers College at Rutgers University and the City University of New York, School of Law. Prior to joining FRKB, the Warren, N.J. resident operated his own law practice and worked as a corporate counsel attorney for a leading Northern New Jersey medical center. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2011, New York Bar in 2012 and District of Columbia Bar in 2013. Guarino also possesses past multi-family property management experience.

“FRKB has established itself as a leader in the area of landlord/tenant law throughout New Jersey and I am eager to apply my legal knowledge and first-hand experience for the benefit of the firm’s clients,” said Guarino, who has served as a volunteer attorney at Legal Services of New Jersey, a non-profit law firm serving low-income residents of New Jersey, and as a volunteer mediator at Main Street Legal Services at the CUNY School of Law.

Founded in 1991, FRKB provides legal counsel and representation to a broad spectrum of clients, including multi-family owners, property managers and institutional operators. The firm is led by co-founders and Managing Partners Raiss and Richard Kelin, Esq., as well as Partners Ernest Booker, Esq.; Gary Gordon, Esq.; and Tracey Goldstein, Esq.
