Law Firm Also Recognized As “Best Place to Work”

LIVINGSTON, N.J., June 12, 2014 – Gary Gordon, Esq., and Tracey Goldstein, Esq., partners of Feinstein, Raiss, Kelin, & Booker, L.L.C. (FRKB), have been named among “The Best Attorneys” in real estate for the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition, the Livingston, N.J.-based law firm was recognized as one of “The Best Places to Work.”

“Gary and Tracey have earned the respect of multi-family owners, property managers and institutional operators as well as their peers throughout New Jersey and beyond for their legal talents, professionalism and uncompromising ethics,” said Larry Raiss, Esq., one of the firm’s co-founders who serves as a managing partner along with Rich Kelin, Esq., also a co-founder. “We congratulate them on this distinction and commend the entire FRKB team on its well-deserved recognition as well.”

Gordon is an FRKB partner who chairs the Litigation Department. He focuses his practice on commercial, contract and real estate litigation; real estate tax appeals; municipal law; housing code enforcement; rent control matters, including capital improvement and hardship applications; housing discrimination; and toxic tort defense (lead paint and mold). Throughout his career, Gordon has been involved with numerous cases having state-wide impact. In one notable case, he challenged a municipal ordinance that denied trash collection service to apartment buildings, which resulted in state legislation guaranteeing service or reimbursement to property owners.

As a member of the FRKB Litigation Department, Goldstein also is an acknowledged authority on landlord/tenant law and regularly represents property owners, managers and developers. She counsels the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) on legislative issues and is a sought-after guest speaker for conferences, educational forums and special events hosted by Rutgers College, NJICLE, NJAA, POA and NJAHMA. Additionally, Goldstein has participated in landmark New Jersey Court decisions affecting the rights of property owners.

Firm among “The Best Places to Work”

Named one of “The Best Places to Work,” FRKB is known for its supportive culture that encourages independence and autonomy. Its high retention rate is a clear indication of the strength of this culture and its partners’ commitment to associate attorneys and staff members.

“Our partners have at least 20 years of history with the firm, and more than half of our employees have worked here for over 10 years,” noted Raiss. “These close working relationships and commitment to client service are the foundation of our past success and key to our future achievements.”

One indication of FRKB’s latest growth is the recent relocation of its offices from West Orange to Eisenhower Corporate Campus in Livingston. To officially mark the move, the firm transformed the property’s Conference Center into a networking celebration for the real estate industry.

Founded in 1991, FRKB provides legal counsel and representation to a broad spectrum of clients, including individuals, property owners and managers, builders and developers. Practice areas include commercial real estate transactions, landlord tenant law, commercial litigation, corporate law, housing discrimination, rent control, municipal matters, tax appeals, family law and personal injury.

The “Best Attorneys” and “Best Places to Work” categories were awarded by Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal (MAREJ) in its recent “Best of the Best” designations for the real estate industry.
