Luxury Multifamily Community Achieves Key Milestone in Just 12 Months
The Residences at Raritan Town Square
FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Nov. 10, 2022) – The Residences at Raritan Town Square, a collection of 140 one- and two-bedroom luxury apartments in suburban Hunterdon County, has achieved 100% lease-up less than 12 months after its launch, according to developer Garden Communities.
Located at the intersection of Walter Foran Blvd.and Route 31, The Residences at Raritan Town Square is the multifamily component of Raritan Town Square, a 60-acre, mixed-use redevelopment of the renowned former Flemington Fairgrounds and Speedway. The project’s commercial component includes 400,000 square feet of retail and office space in a pedestrian-friendly “downtown” environment.
“The Residences at Raritan Town Square is a unique product for this marketplace,” said Scott Loventhal, managing director of Garden Communities. “In a suburban setting, this is a residential rental community situated in the heart of a mixed-use development of retail stores, restaurants and service businesses. In essence, we have created a town center for Raritan Township that previously never existed, and residents have embraced it.”
Loventhal added that The Residences at Raritan Town Square has attracted a broad spectrum of renters, including singles, families and empty nesters. The four-story building’s apartments range in size from 845 square feet to 1,590 square feet, with features including nine-foot ceilings, quartz kitchen countertops, stainless-steel appliances, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, in-suite washers and dryers, and keyless entry. The pet-friendly community has a central courtyard, fully equipped fitness center, several community rooms, a business center, a children’s indoor playroom and an outdoor playground.
Completing a Mixed-Use Setting
The Residences represents the final phase of the Raritan Town Square development. Its well-established retail component – anchored by Walmart and Lowe’s – features a desirable tenant mix including Petsmart, Buffalo Wild Wings, Longhorn Steakhouse, Edward Jones, Verizon, AAA Club Alliance, and Silver Oak Learning Center, among others. The site is shadow anchored by Costco.

Garden Commercial is currently marketing retail opportunities at Raritan Town Square, with storefronts ranging from 1,200 square feet to about 6,000 square feet, in addition to a 5,000-square-foot pad site with drive-through capabilities.
