NEWARK, N.J., April 26, 2012 – On Tuesday, June 5, Hobby’s Delicatessen & Restaurant in Newark, N.J. will host “Hobby’s for Justice” to benefit Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ), which provides comprehensive pro bono legal services to economically-disadvantaged individuals in N.J. Hobby’s will donate 10% of the proceeds to VLJ for any eat-in or take-out order on June 5 as well as all catering orders for the week beginning June 4 if you mention VLJ.
As part of this popular annual fundraiser, Hobby’s invites local businesses to create and sponsor a sandwich that will appear on the restaurant’s menu for the week. A prize is awarded to the most ordered sandwich.
Hobby’s is a long-time supporter of VLJ. Founded in 2001, VLJ focuses on the areas of greatest need such as consumer law, bankruptcy, family law and special education. Programs include free legal counsel and advice, educational seminars on various legal matters, and direct representation for at-risk individuals facing critical civil legal issues.
