Bargains Galore, Blood Drives Highlight Month’s Happenings

POTTSVILLE, Pa., June 19, 2014 – Beat the heat this summer at Fairlane Village Mall, where a variety of promotions and special events will be taking place throughout the month of July. All events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted:
- Tues., July 1 through Thurs., July 31: Schuykill United Way's "Stuff the Bus," an annual school supply drive that collects hundreds of supplies for children in need, returns to Fairlane Village Mall throughout the month of July. Backpacks, pens, pencils, erasers, notebooks, binders, folders, rulers, crayons, highlighters, staplers and markers are among the school supplies needed. - Thurs., July 3 to Sunday, July 6: Every bargain hunter loves a good sale. During the mall's annual Summer Sidewalk Sale, participating stores will offer the hottest deals on many of summer's coolest items.
- Fri., July 4: Happy Fourth of July! The mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Department store hours may vary. See specific stores for details.
- Sat., July 5: Members of the community are invited to give the gift of life during the Miller-Keystone Blood Drive. The bloodmobile will be parked in the mall parking lot near the center entrance from noon to 5 p.m.
- Sat., July 19: Giving blood is a simple act that can make a big difference for someone who needs it. In fact, just one blood donation can help save up to three lives. An American Red Cross Blood Drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the storefront across from Super Shoes. To schedule an appointment, call (800) GIVE-LIFE.
