ALLENDALE, N.J., May 22, 2014 – The Allendale Community for Senior Living, Northern New Jersey’s premier continuum-of-care senior living and healthcare campus, will hold its annual Atrium Health & Senior Services Fair on Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free and open to the public, the event will include door prizes, a raffle, goody bags and refreshments.
“At The Allendale Community, we take great pride in making sure all seniors live happier, healthier and more productive lives,” said Dr. Timothy Giancarlo, president of The Allendale Community. “The Atrium Health & Senior Services Fair presents a wonderful opportunity for older adults and caregivers to connect with dozens of local health and wellness professionals, and service providers – all gathered under one roof.”
Attendees also can explore the physical and emotional benefits of tai chi by participating in a free class at 11 a.m. in The Atrium Cinema. The class will be conducted by Hasmig Mekjian, who has been teaching and practicing the art of tai chi for more than 30 years. Along with free blood pressure screenings, the fair will feature vendors showcasing products and services of interest to area seniors.
Participating exhibitors include the Bergen County Department of Health; the Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey Chapter; Pinelli Chiropractic Center; ACML Rehabilitation; Harmony Within Massage Therapy (chair massage and reflexology); Kimberly A. Paton, Esq., elder law attorney; pet therapy expert/trainer Joyce Ochs with her therapy dog, Tanner; Satin Hands and Skin and Beauty Care Products by Mary Kay; ComForcare Senior Services; the Center for Vein Restoration; Aero Ambulance Service; UnitedHealthcare; Audiology & Hearing Aid Solutions; Paraffin Hand Massage with Jeannette; and Compassionate Care Hospice, among others.
