PR Firm Continues to Expand Services and Team
PARAMUS, N.J., March 28, 2019 – In a move reflecting continued growth and broad, specialized services, Caryl Communications (CCI) has promoted Karen Ravensbergen to Vice President.
A public relations and marketing firm based in Paramus, CCI has consistently expanded its services and team over the years to meet the industry’s evolving dynamics. In the past decade, the rapid growth of communications technology has further increased the opportunity to connect through multiple platforms.
“This well-earned promotion reflects Karen’s many talents, her hard work and her commitment to the company,” noted Caryl Bixon Gordon, President. Karen originally joined the agency in 2014 as an account coordinator with a strong background in PR. She quickly became a Manager and was then promoted to Assistant Vice President. “In that time, Karen developed strong relationships with our team and her clients. She has focused on strategies that help the company prosper in today’s ever-changing public relations landscape. Karen is insightful and optimistic, and we couldn’t ask for a better senior executive.”
Among Ravensbergen’s diverse areas of work at the agency, she also has garnered a wide range of new media and prestigious business organizations that are key in the company’s success.
“Outstanding client service and great results are most important,” Ravensbergen said. “To achieve this, it is essential to stay current with new technologies and processes, to promote teamwork and collaborate with clients on a regular basis. I’m excited to make a positive contribution to CCI in those areas.”
Ravensbergen of Dumont, New Jersey, earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and began her public relations career at Marina Maher Communications. She held leadership positions at Cairns & Associates, as account director for beauty and personal care consumer brands (including Avon, Chesebrough-Ponds).
As a leader at CCI spearheading training and new processes, Karen continues to manage for companies in real estate, architecture, design, financial services, health care and other industries.
CCI is an established public relations firm with a track record of success and consistent growth in the tri-state area. In addition to traditional and social media and email and digital marketing, the agency offers event planning, employee communications and full-scale marketing. CCI has garnered numerous awards over the years from organizations such as the Public Relations Society of America, the Working Press Association of New Jersey, the National Association of Home Builders, NAIOP NJ, and the International Association of Business Communicators. The company’s president has also been named one of the top 50 women in business by NJBIZ.
