SOUTH ORANGE, N.J., March 23, 2012 – Linda Slucker, President of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), will speak to the congregation of Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel (TSTI) at their Shabbat Worship service on Friday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m. She will address the topic of “Progressive Jewish Women Making Social Change Here and in Israel.”

Slucker was elected NCJW president in 2011, after serving on the Board of Directors for twelve years. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.

Residents of West Orange, N.J., Slucker and her husband are faithful members of TSTI and long-time supporters of the Temple’s programs. TSTI’s religious school is named after Linda and Rudy Slucker in recognition and appreciation of their generous donations.
