Pennington School Students Lend Musical Talents to Create Joy

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (Nov. 15, 2023) Residents at Lawrence Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center and The Meadows at Lawrence in Lawrenceville recently enjoyed a complimentary performance by a pair of local high school musicians. Dhruv and Rishabh Ramaswamy, brothers who attend The Pennington School, volunteered their time to put on a delightful concert for the Lawrence healthcare campus

Dhruv and Rishabh, who showed off their talents on the piano and bass, crafted an entire set for their performance at the beautiful chapel on the 40-acre Lawrence campus. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the concert and were thrilled that they were able to hear the boys’ takes on some classic songs.

“It was such an enjoyable experience having Dhruv and Rishabh play for our residents,” said Seth Rinn, administrator at Lawrence Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. “These students have enormous talent, and it brought such joy for our residents to bond with a younger generation over the power of music.”

Seema and Kumar Ramaswamy, Dhruv’s and Rishabh’s parents, are supportive of their sons’ musical passion and encourage them to volunteer in all capacities outside of school obligations. In addition to performing at Lawrence, Dhruv and Rishabh have also volunteered at their local soup kitchen and library.

The 120-bed Lawrence Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center (formerly St. Joseph’s) provides post-hospital, short-term rehab and long-term residential care. The 60-bed Meadows at Lawrence (formerly Morris Hall Meadows) features 60 long-term care beds, inclusive of six residential long-term care cottages, built around the green house residential skilled nursing model.

The healthcare campus has a rich legacy, having been in operation for decades. In addition to the two distinct skilled nursing components, it includes Lawrence Rehabilitation Hospital and The Terraces at Lawrence, an assisted living community. A campus-wide modernization and programming enhancement is underway.
