New Hire Represents West Coast Growth for New York Internet-based Auction House

Tim Gallagher

KINGSTON, N.Y. (June 20, 2024) Love of the Game Auctions (LOTG) has appointed sports memorabilia industry veteran Tim Gallagher as consignment director. This latest team addition establishes a permanent west coast presence for the growing internet sports memorabilia auction house, which is based in New York’s Hudson Valley region.

Gallagher is focused on developing new business and working with LOTG’s existing consignors at a time of significant expansion. “Tim is a seasoned professional with a long collecting history and a wealth of hobby knowledge, and a reputation for being ethical and trustworthy,” said Al Crisafulli, LOTG founder and auction director. “Having him on the team extends our bandwidth across the board while bringing us physically closer to many of our valued clients. Ultimately, he is an excellent addition to the team – one that will help us uphold our commitment to quality as we move the company forward.”

Gallagher brings with him an expertise in the areas of autograph collecting and vintage basketball. As an esteemed autograph collector, Gallagher has owned as many as 25,000 autographs at one time and has become a respected and trusted resource within the hobby. He has also written pieces for Sports Collectors Daily and appeared as a guest on numerous podcasts.

“I am excited to join the team at Love of the Game Auctions,” said Gallagher. “LOTG is one of the most respected auction houses in the hobby, leading with integrity and passion, and I look forward to working with the team to continue providing the best quality and service for our consignors.”

Gallagher previously served as the West Coast Consignment Director for Robert Edward Auctions and worked on consignment acquisitions and private sales for SCP Auctions. Working as a sales account executive earlier in his career, he has combined his business acumen and experience with his love and passion for sports with a sought-after skillset he brings to LOTG.

Founded in 2012 by longtime hobbyist Crisafulli, LOTG specializes in sports memorabilia and cards – with an emphasis on pre-World War II material. Love of the Game facilitates sales ranging from world-class collections to individual inheritance pieces – and everything in between. LOTG holds three major annual auctions, as well as specialty sales. For more information, visit
