Legislative Leaders will Discuss the Impact of Current and Emerging Policies on CRE Development Industry

EDISON, N.J. (Mar. 5, 2024) – Legislative leaders and top policy makers will explore New Jersey’s public policy landscape and how it is shaping the future of the state’s commercial real estate development industry when NAIOP New Jersey presents its 2024 Public Policy Symposium. The program will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at the Northeast Carpenters Apprentice Training Center, 75 Fieldcrest Avenue in Edison 

Keynote Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, Chief of Staff to Gov. Phil Murphy, will discuss the administration’s current and emerging policies. Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin, Assembly Minority Leader John DiMaio and Senator Holly Schepisi, Republican Conference Leader, are among the speakers who will join NAIOP NJ CEO Dan Kennedy to describe how legislative leadership is addressing the state’s pressing policy and budget challenges. 

“Whether you are a NAIOP member or not, you are welcome to join us and hear from the people making the decisions that impact your business,” said NAIOP NJ CEO Dan Kennedy. 

A segment of the program will feature a thought-provoking panel discussion on energy and decarbonization. Confirmed speakers include Stevens & Lee Public Affairs Vice President Bob Gordon, former New Jersey State Senator and former New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Commissioner, who will moderate the conversation; Erick A. Ford, vice president, Stevens & Lee Public Affairs; Zoe Baldwin, New Jersey director, Regional Planning Association; and Mark F. Schottinger, president and chief legal officer, Solar Landscape.
