NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., February 18, 2016 – Economic development and the state of the state’s economy continue to be key public policy issues, and against that backdrop, NAIOP New Jersey’s Public Policy Symposium will feature a panel of mayors who are leading economic development efforts to transform their communities. The program is slated for Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at The Heldrich in New Brunswick.

Among the key questions to be addressed at this timely event are successes: What’s working in New Jersey’s towns? What are some of the obstacles that continue to hamper development, and what tools do communities need to overcome those obstacles? What and where are the emerging opportunities to partner with local officials to transform communities?

Discussing these issues and more will be New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Commissioner Chuck Richman and Mayors Eric Jackson of Trenton, John Labrosse of Hackensack, James Barberio of Parsippany-Troy Hills, and Christopher Vergano of Wayne. NAIOP New Jersey President Clark Machemer and President-Elect/Vice President Public Affairs Dave Gibbons will moderate. Additional program speakers are being finalized.

The event will begin with registration and networking at 7:45 a.m., followed by the program. New Jersey Licensed Brokers/Salespersons can earn one CE credit for attending, and attorneys can earn one CLE credit.
