2014 Real Estate Award Reception and Pynes Putting Challenge will be held June 19th

FAR HILLS, N.J., May 27, 2014 – The March of Dimes New Jersey Chapter will honor Geoffrey L. Schubert, senior vice-president of CBRE, at the organization’s 2014 Real Estate Award Reception and Pynes Putting Challenge. This year’s event will take place on Thursday, June 19, from 4:30 to 9 p.m. at the United States Golf Association (USGA) headquarters, 77 Liberty Corner Road in Far Hills.

“The March of Dimes is extremely grateful for the support the real estate community has provided to our organization over the years,” said Carol Roberts, director of special events for the March of Dimes North Jersey Division. “Geoffrey is a well-respected industry leader and a strong proponent of the March of Dimes’ mission. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this honor.”

The Real Estate Award Reception, which has been recognizing industry leaders since 2000, brings together more than 200 professionals from New Jersey’s real estate community, including senior executives, brokers, managers, architects, developers, owners, engineers and related industry leaders. The gathering provides a forum for the March of Dimes to raise awareness about its work while honoring a leader from within the real estate development industry for his/her contribution to maternal and infant health.

A 48-year real estate industry veteran, Schubert specializes in office buildings and development. Since 1995, he has been involved in leasing more than six million square feet of office space. Active in numerous professional and non-profit organizations, Schubert is a member and past president of the Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association (IOREBA), and is a member of the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks (NAIOP), CoreNet and the Foundation Board of The Valley Hospital. He was named “Man of the Year” in 2007 by the Boys Scouts of America Northern New Jersey Council and was a 2011 NAIOP Hall of Fame recipient.

Schubert currently is serving as a member of the March of Dimes Real Estate Award Reception and Pynes Putting Challenge Planning Committee, and is chairman of the March of Dimes new Signature Chef Gourmet Gala Planning Committee. “For more than 75 years, the March of Dimes has had a positive impact on the lives of countless thankful families,” he said. “I commend them for their tireless efforts, and am honored to play a role in raising the visibility of the great work done by this organization.”

This year’s event is being chaired by Robert Martie of Colliers International NJ LLC. Erik Sletteland of Structure Tone Inc. is serving as Pynes Putting Chair. The Pynes Putting Playoffs will be held at 4:30 p.m. on June 19 at the Pynes Putting Course, a 16,000-square-foot nine-hole putting green located behind the USGA Museum. The Real Estate Award Reception honoring Schubert will immediately follow. Attendees also will have the opportunity to network and enjoy the museum’s many wonderful exhibits.

This year’s winning team will receive a framed proclamation commemorating their win signed by Arnold Palmer; two tickets for the 2015 U.S. Open at Chambers Bay golf club in University Place, Washington, compliments of the USGA; and lodging courtesy of Wyndham Worldwide. Additionally, the company whose team wins the final match will have its name engraved on the “Pynes Cup” trophy. The winners will hold the trophy and have bragging rights for one year until they either successfully defend their title or relinquish it to a worthy competitor.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at various monetary levels, each of which carries a number of unique benefits.
