Norristown, Pa., Skilled Nursing Facility Recognized for Quality Care and Services

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (Nov. 10, 2022) — Markley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Norristown recently earned a prestigious accreditation for its quality care and services from The Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare. Located at 550 E. Fornance St., the 121-bed skilled nursing facility provides short-term rehab, long-term care and post-hospital care.
Markley received Nursing Care Center Accreditation after a rigorous, unannounced onsite review by The Joint Commission, an independent, nonprofit organization. During the visit, its team evaluated compliance with performance standards across a range of areas, including post-acute care, emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, and medication management, as well as rights and responsibilities of the individual and leadership.

Markley, which maintains a four-star rating for quality measures from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), is undergoing a $3.5 million repositioning and rebranding.
