May: ShopRite of Lyndhurst Celebrates Celiac Awareness Month
Nutrition, Wellness Events Include Cooking Classes, Recipe Demos and More
LYNDHURST, N.J., April. 27, 2017 – ShopRite of Lyndhurst, an Inserra Supermarkets store, will host a variety of fun and informative events throughout the month of May, which is Celiac Awareness Month. The store’s registered dietitian, Nicholas Vessichelli, RD will lead each of the offerings and provide easy-to-implement advice. All programs are free, open to the public, held at ShopRite of Lyndhurst and do not require advance registration unless otherwise noted:
Tues., May 2 – Adult Culinary Workshop, 6 – 8 p.m. Please note space is limited, and registration is required. Join Nick, ShopRite’s in-store dietitian, and Chef Melissa in creating a delicious dinner featuring salmon with berry sides as part of this month’s theme, “Season’s Bounty.” Cost is $20 per person.
Wed., May 3 – RD Top 10 Picks, 2 – 4 p.m. Meet Nick at the Dietitian’s Office to learn about the brand new “Well Everyday” theme and sample some of his top 10 picks.
Thurs., May 4, 11, 18, 25 – Weekly Walking Club, 8 – 9 a.m. Meet every Thursday at the Dietitian’s Office for a 1-mile walk inside the store. Prizes are awarded to participants.
Sat., May 7 – RD Top 10 Picks, 12 – 2 p.m. Meet Nick at the dietitian’s office to learn about the brand new “Well Everyday” theme and sample some of his top 10 picks.
Mon., May 15 – Produce Pick, 4 – 6 p.m. Stop by the dietitian’s office to try a unique recipe and learn more about the featured produce pick of the week.
Sun., May 20 – RD Top 10 Picks, 12 – 2 p.m. Meet Nick at the Dietitian’s Office to learn about the brand new “Well Everyday” theme and sample some of his top 10 picks.
Wed., May 24 – Free Kid’s Snack Class, 4 – 5 p.m. or 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Please note space is limited, and sign-up with Nick is required. Kids will enjoy a free hands-on snacking class.
Thurs., May 25 – RD Top 10 Picks, 12 – 2 p.m. Meet Nick at the dietitian’s office to learn about the brand new “Well Everyday” theme and sample some of his top 10 picks.
Fri., May 26 – Meal of the Week Demo, 2 – 4 p.m. Stumped on what to cook for dinner? Visit the Dietitian’s Office for a taste of the featured Meal of the Week.
