Winners to be Announced at 35th Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala on June 16
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., Feb. 24, 2022 – NAIOP New Jersey, the commercial real estate development association, is currently accepting entries for the Deal of the Year Awards competition. The awards will be presented at the 35th Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala, which will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, N.J.
NAIOP NJ will present one award in each of the following categories: Industrial Deal of the Year, Office Deal of the Year and Mixed-Use Deal of the Year. The judges may also select one of the finalists to receive a “Transformation Award.”
The deadline for entries is March 4, 2022 at 5 p.m. On April 1, 2022, each finalist team will make an in-person presentation to the judges. All finalists also are asked to be present at the Awards Gala.
To be eligible, a deal must include a commercial real estate component and at least one principal partner must be a NAIOP NJ member in good standing. The deal must have been substantially completed by December 31, 2021. The size of the transaction is not as important as its creativity, complexity, economic impact and impact on the community, environment and sustainability. In addition to the Deal of the Year Awards, NAIOP NJ’s 2022 Gala will include the 35th Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards. The most prestigious honors in the real estate community include the Charles Klatskin Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors an individual who has had a distinguished record in service to the industry and community; the Impact Award, which recognizes firms and/or individuals that have had a significant impact on New Jersey’s commercial and industrial real estate development industry; and the Industry Service Award, which goes to a firm, an individual or an entity that has made a substantial contribution in support of the goals of the commercial and industrial real estate industry. The Caren S. Franzini Public Partner Award, which recognizes champions of economic development that inspire and transform communities, will also be presented.
