Garden State Chapter Continues Rapid Growth as Year-End Membership Soars to 662
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., Jan. 7, 2015 – The New Jersey chapter of NAIOP, the Garden State's leading commercial real estate, land use and economic development resource, recently welcomed 78 new members, growing its total membership to 662. The new members, who joined NAIOP New Jersey between July and December, culminate a year of marked growth for the association.
NAIOP comprises more than 17,000 members throughout North America and is the leading organization for developers, owners and related professionals in office, industrial, retail and mixed-use real estate. NAIOP New Jersey now ranks as the seventh largest NAIOP chapter in the nation and the eighth largest chapter worldwide.
NAIOP New Jersey's newest members represent a diverse cross-section of commercial real estate professionals ranging from developers, builders and brokers to those working in the environmental, legal, accounting, consulting, higher education, engineering, banking, investment and title insurance industries, according to Michael McGuinness, CEO of NAIOP New Jersey.
"One of the most valuable assets of any organization is its members, and NAIOP New Jersey's diverse and growing membership truly embodies the depth and breadth of the state's commercial real estate industry," said McGuinness. "We are thrilled to welcome our newest members, and look forward to providing them with year-round opportunities to expand their industry knowledge and make new connections."
As the voice of commercial real estate in the Garden State, NAIOP New Jersey provides business and professional development opportunities, educational programs, networking and strong advocacy for the industry, as well as some of the most eagerly anticipated events in the business community. The organization is committed to an inclusive membership and works to expand its reach both geographically and among the various commercial real estate sectors to create a representative profile of the industry in New Jersey, from privately held developers and owners, to asset managers, REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts), pension funds and other investors, as well as an array of real estate-related professionals and public officials.
