SHORT HILLS, NJ, Oct. 2, 2012 – On November 26, NAIOP New Jersey, the commercial real estate development association, will present its annual President’s Awards and Hall of Fame Dinner. Being held at the Short Hills Hilton, the awards dinner will honor nine members of the association for exemplary service to the New Jersey Chapter in the areas of leadership, advocacy, community action, member recruitment and retention, committee service, sponsorship and other support.
The 2012 President’s Awards recipients are: Legacy Award – Caren Franzini, NJEDA; Pillar Award –
Rob Crespi, Wolff & Samson; Pillar Award-Jonathan Meisel,Jones Lang LaSalle; Advocacy Award-Susan Karp,Cole Schotz Meisel Forman & Leonard; Rising Star – Brian Whitmer, Cushman & Wakefield; and Volunteer of the Year – Anne Strauss-Wieder,ASW, Inc.
Inductees into the Hall of Fame Class of 2012 are: Emanuel Sternof Hartz Mountain Industries;
Don Richardsonof EWMA; and Don Eisen of Cushman & Wakefield of NJ.
Dinner Co-Chairs and Past Presidents Jeff Milanaik and Tom Michnewicz encourage people to register early for the event, which will be held at the Short Hills Hilton. “We’ve sold out early for the past two years…this is always a great evening,” said Milanaik, of Heller Industrial Parks.
“Chairing and serving on committees, speaking at seminars, sponsoring events, providing expertise to our advocacy efforts, and volunteering for our Community Action Day – this year’s President’s Awards and Hall of Fame Honorees have done it all, and more, in service to the New Jersey Chapter,” said NAIOP NJ President George Sowa. “We look forward to celebrating them at our November 5 Dinner.”
The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with registration and the cocktail reception. The program gets underway at 5:45 p.m. with dinner, a slide show of images from the past year, the awards presentation, and presentation of the Frank D. Visceglia Memorial Scholarship.
