Legal and Media Experts will Share Perspectives on the Whys, Hows, Ethics, and Pitfalls of the New Era of Marketing

LIVINGSTON, N.J., Sept. 15, 2011 – No one in business can afford to ignore the burgeoning social media any longer, and on October 4, NAIOP NJ, the commercial real estate development association, will present a seminar titled Social Media for Commercial Real Estate Professionals. Slated for the Eisenhower Corporate Campus in Livingston, N.J., the event will feature a panel of media experts offering their perspectives on the whys, hows, ethics and pitfalls of integrating social media into a company’s marketing and communications strategy.
“Social media can help you communicate with clients and other businesses quickly and efficiently, but joining LinkedIn and setting up a Facebook page isn’t enough,” said Michael G. McGuinness, chief executive officer of NAIOP NJ. “Knowledge of the tools and how they can work for you is essential for maximizing their effectiveness for your business.”
Presenters will include Moderator Galit Kierkut, partner, Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis LLP; Caryl-Bixon Gordon, president of Caryl Communications, Inc.; Jonathan Schein, general manager, Commercial Real Estate Group, Penton Media; and Timothy White, vice president-public affairs, Beckerman Public Relations.
“Social Media for Commercial Real Estate Professionals” has applied for CEU accreditation. Pending approval, this seminar will allow real estate brokers and salespersons to earn two (2) MCE (Mandatory Continuing Education) credits.
