Professional Development Seminars and Certification Courses Open to NJAA Members and Non-Members

MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J., Jan. 27, 2014 – The New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) will host a series of educational programs in February designed to help industry professionals gain knowledge and elevate their skills. NJAA offers a diverse selection of comprehensive education and certification courses throughout the year for members and non-members as part of its commitment to advancing the multi-family housing industry in New Jersey.

The following programs are open to NJAA members and the public:

  • Thurs., Feb. 6: Expos Exposed: A Guide to Tradeshow Success. Industry experts share tips for maximum exposure and tricks for catching attendees’ attention. The panel includes Matt Adler, Adler Residential; Joseph Spadaccini, The Kamson Corporation; Steve Dicker, P. Cooper Roofing; Heather Kamasa, Acadia Windows & Doors; and Moderator Larry Falkow, The APTS. 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.; 9:30 a.m. breakfast. Free for NJAA members; $75 for non-members.
  • Tues., Feb. 11: Fair Housing & Beyond (South). A dynamic multi-media training course designed to deliver current and practical knowledge of fair housing essentials. Ideal for onsite staff, management company executives, office staff and vendors. 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Presented by Jenel Marraccini, Esq., and Paul Jay Cohen, Esq., Cohen & Wilwerth P.C. at AFR, Pennsauken. $79 for members; $109 for non-members (lunch included.)
  • Tues., Feb. 25 and Thurs., Feb 26: Certified Pool Operator (CPO®). This two-day national certification program provides the basic knowledge and skills of pool and spa operations. Presented by American Pool Management at Planned Companies, Parsippany. $380 for members; $500 for non-members (materials, test, certification and lunch included.)

NJAA members earn Continuing Education Credits (CECs) towards National Apartment Association Designations (NAA) at each session they attend.
