Card and Specialty Gift Retailer Inks Over 6,000-SF Lease at Atlantic County Shopping Center
SOMERS POINT, N.J. (Feb. 28, 2023) – Norman’s Hallmark, an employee-owned company and the nation’s largest independent owner of Gold Crown Hallmark stores, has signed a lease to occupy over 6,000 square feet at Ocean Heights Plaza in Somers Point. The card and specialty gift retailer will take over the space formerly occupied by Pier 1 Imports at the ShopRite-anchored property at 319 Bethel Road.
The new retail shop will be one of Norman’s “super store” locations, featuring an expansive selection of card and gift items in a modern and inviting shopping environment. A late Spring 2023 opening is tentatively planned.
“Every Norman’s Hallmark store is an engaging, one-stop destination where shoppers can find the perfect cards and gifts for any milestone or occasion,” said Howard Henschel, Norman’s president and chief executive officer. “We are excited to be opening one of our larger, full-format stores in Somers Point, and look forward to bringing customers the quality brands and great service for which Norman’s Hallmark is known.”
The Somers Point store marks the continued expansion of Norman’s Southern New Jersey presence, following recent new-store openings at Mullica Hill Plaza in Mullica Hill, Pilesgrove Town Center in Woodstown, The Court at Deptford in Deptford and Cross Keys Commons in Turnersville.
Norman’s offers a complete line of Hallmark products, cards for every occasion and Keepsake Ornaments, along with a diverse merchandise selection for gift giving and the home that includes fashion apparel and accessories, books, stationery, games, home décor, specialty candy and gourmet foods. The company maintains thriving supplier partnerships with household-name brands like Lenox, Yankee Candle, Life is Good, Willow Tree, Vera Bradley, Squishmallows, Mud Pie, David Bradley Chocolatier, Stonewall Kitchen and Godiva, among many others.
Norman’s Hallmark currently operates 70 locations. With roots dating back more than 80 years, Norman’s Hallmark has grown from a single retail store in Trenton, N.J., to a leading force in the social expression industry. The Newtown, Pa.-based company continues to grow its brick-and-mortar footprint throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and recently expanded into Delaware and northern Maryland; it also maintains a strong ecommerce presence.
