Northampton Post Acute

EASTON, Pa. (July 9, 2024)Northampton Post Acute has earned two prestigious accreditations for its quality care and services from The Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. Located at 4100 Freemansburg Avenue, the 180-bed facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.

Northampton received The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for both Post-Acute Care and Nursing Care Center after a rigorous, unannounced onsite review by the independent, nonprofit organization. During the visit, The Joint Commission team evaluated compliance with performance standards across a range of areas, including emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, and leadership.

The Joint Commission’s evidence-based standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement specialists and patients to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. An organization that achieves The Gold Seal of Approval shows its commitment to holding itself accountable to a high bar for quality and safety for those they serve.

“The Joint Commission’s thorough review is patient centric and data driven with a keen focus on evaluating actual care processes,” said Danielle Koons, senior regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Northampton. “Earning two Gold Seals from The Joint Commission reflects the Northampton team’s commitment to excellence each and every day.”
