Levin Management Arranges 2,500-SF Lease at Monmouth County Retail Property
HOWELL, N.J. (Nov. 14, 2023) – Nothing Bundt Cakes, the nation’s largest specialty cake company, is coming to Aldrich Plaza in Howell, expanding the brand’s brick-and-mortar footprint and bringing a new retail category to the Monmouth County shopping center.
Levin Management Corporation (LMC) serves as exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 128,000-square-foot Aldrich Plaza, located on heavily travelled Route 9. LMC Leasing Representative Kendal Hand-Freda and Senior Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad arranged the 2,500-square-foot lease; Mark Stanislawski of The Retail Strategy represented the tenant.
Nothing Bundt Cakes offers handcrafted bundt cakes in a variety of flavors and sizes, such as bite-sized Buntinis, miniature Bundtlets, and 8- to 10-inch Bundt Cakes. The bakeries also offer retail items including party supplies, décor and gifts. Founded in 1997, Nothing Bundt Cakes currently operates about 500 bakery locations in more than 40 states and Canada. The Aldrich Plaza Nothing Bundt Cakes will be the second location for its operator, which also has a shop in Toms River, N.J.
Aldrich Plaza’s complementary tenant mix – along with its outstanding visibility and strong demographics – made it the perfect location for the chain’s tri-state area expansion, according to Moawad. “Dessert-inspired concepts are a hot retail category,” he said. “Within that segment, Nothing Bundt Cakes is an established, growing national brand with a strong following, and it’s a great addition for this center.”
Anchored by Walgreens, Aldrich Plaza is home to Retro Fitness, My Salon Suites (opening soon), Salon Centric, Norman’s Hallmark, RE/MAX real estate, AT&T, Big City Bagels & Salads, Bubbakoo’s Burritos and GNC. A host of neighborhood conveniences – such as a dentist, pizzeria, Chinese restaurant, optician, liquor store, karate studio, coffee and ice cream shops, and a dry cleaner, among others – round out the tenant mix.
Aldrich Plaza serves a residential population of nearly 164,000 people within a five-mile radius and sits within an affluent neighborhood boasting an average household income of $171,000 within a one-mile radius. The daily traffic count passing the property exceeds 38,000 vehicles. Remaining availabilities include a 30,430-square-foot in-line space and a 2,640-square-foot former restaurant pad site. A 10,000-square-foot proposed pad site is also available.
