All Blood Types Needed
MOORESTOWN, N.J., Sept. 20, 2022 — In support of the American Red Cross and the local community, Cambridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Moorestown will host a Blood Drive on Friday, Oct. 7, from noon to 5 p.m. Cambridge is located at 255 E. Main Street; the Blood Drive will take place at the center’s chapel.
All blood types are urgently needed, and appointments are required. To schedule an appointment, please visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter CambridgeMoorestown, or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). In October, the Red Cross is offering a five-dollar gift card to a blood donor’s merchant of choice.
According to the Red Cross, every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood or platelets. Eligible type O, B or A donors are encouraged to consider making a Power Red donation, which enables one to give nearly twice the amount of red cells.
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. It supplies approximately 40% of the nation’s blood.
Cambridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care. The skilled nursing facility shares a 14-acre campus with Cambridge Enhanced Senior Living; both sit in the heart of downtown Moorestown, 12 miles east of Philadelphia.
