Industry Veteran Marisa Romanini to Lead “Thriving, Vibrant” Community

Marisa Romanini
LANGHORNE, Pa. (Dec. 8, 2022) — Marisa Romanini has joined the leadership team at Oxford Independent Living in Langhorne as executive director. The Hatboro, Pa., resident brings more than 15 years of senior living industry experience to her new role.
With this position, Romanini returns to the world of independent living after two years of leading a personal care facility in Newtown, Pa. Her experience includes working in a variety of senior settings in addition to independent living and personal care, including skilled nursing and memory care.
Oxford Independent Living is part of the Oxford Enhanced Senior Living continuing care retirement campus, which is in the midst of a multi-million-dollar renovation following a recent rebranding. Romanini said she is looking forward to spearheading many opportunities for growth, not only in attracting new residents but also in helping current residents see their own desires for community activities grow and flourish.
“Oxford Independent Living is so thriving and vibrant,” Romanini said. “Residents take pride in ownership of their community and are always looking for ways to improve their environment—not just for themselves but for the entire population. They are very active and engaged.”
Romanini noted that the community’s robust calendar of events is among its greatest highlights, with most of the activities resident-driven. Several committees plan events and programs, including one group dedicated to engaging professors from local colleges to teach educational courses.
“We have great energy here, and my hope is to help residents bring all of their ideas to life,” she said. “This is their community, their home. Along with my team, I am looking forward to supporting their efforts to continue to make the community they want for themselves.”
A licensed personal care home administrator, Romanini holds a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Duquesne University and a master’s degree in long term care administration from Saint Joseph’s University. Romanini, who lives with her husband and two dogs, enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling and baking.
“We are so excited to welcome Marisa and to see where she takes Oxford Independent Living over the coming months and years,” said Lauren Everett, vice president of Senior Living Services at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Oxford.
