Allentown, Pa., Skilled Nursing Facility Recognized for Quality Care and Services

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Nov. 17, 2022) — Riverton Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Allentown recently earned a prestigious accreditation for its quality care and services from The Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare. Located at 803 N. Wahneta Street, Riverton offers post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.
Riverton received Nursing Care Center Accreditation after a rigorous, unannounced onsite review by The Joint Commission, an independent, nonprofit organization. During the visit, its team evaluated compliance with performance standards across a range of areas, including post-acute care, emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention and control, and medication management, as well as rights and responsibilities of the individual and leadership.

Riverton Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is part of Riverton Enhanced Senior Living, a 178-bed continuing care retirement community offering personal care services and independent living accommodations. A $3.5 million campus renovation is underway following a recent ownership change.
