Northeast Philadelphia Native Known for Geriatric Medicine Specialty

PHILADELPHIA (Oct. 12, 2023) — Roosevelt Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in northeast Philadelphia has appointed Joby Jacob, MD, as its medical director. Located at 7800 Bustleton Ave., the 240-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care.
A northeast Philadelphia native, Dr. Jacob is affiliated with First Docs, an independent physician-owned practice. His specialties include geriatric medicine, hospitalist medicine and preventative care.
“Dr. Jacob is passionate about serving his hometown community,” said Danielle Koons, senior regional director of market development for Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Roosevelt. “He is well respected in the region for his expertise in geriatrics and internal medicine as well as his personalized approach to care. Roosevelt is fortunate to have him in this leadership role.”
Dr. Jacob earned his medical degree from American Medical University. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia.
