Interactive Panel Discussion Will Focus on Impact of Recent New York State Non-Profit Revitalization Act

ALBANY, N.Y., March 7, 2014 – SaxBST, one of the nation’s top 100 accounting firms, will launch its “Fist to Five” event series in Albany with the interactive discussion, “How to Survive Change in the Not-for-Profit Community.” This free program will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, from 8:30-11 a.m. at Wolfert’s Roost Country Club, 120 Van Rensselaer Blvd. in Albany.
A panel of experts, moderated by Todd W. Polyniak, CPA, director of SaxBST’s Not-for-Profit Industry Services Group, will address the recent New York State Non-Profit Revitalization Act and how not-for-profits and their employees are dealing with the impact of the new legislation.
Panel member Michael Cooney, Esq., partner in the Washington office of Nixon Peabody LLP, will review highlights of the legislation; Karen Bilowith, president and CEO of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region in Albany, will discuss a local not-for-profit organization’s response to the legislation; and Anne Saile, president of The Saile Group, will address the personal and business challenges of dealing with organizational change.
