In-Store Registered Dietitian Leads Free LiveRight Events Each Month for People of All Ages

RAMSEY, N.J., April 4, 2014 – This April, ShopRite of Ramsey, an Inserra Supermarkets store, is welcoming spring with a full roster of LiveRight programs designed for people of all ages. ShopRite’s free retail dietitian services and the following programs are available to the general public:
Monday, April 7 – Right for Tonight Demo, 2 – 4 pm. Stop in the Dietitian’s Corner for tips on making healthy cooking both simple and flavorful!
Sunday, April 13 – Produce Pick, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Meet ShopRite’s in-store dietitian in the produce department for tasty – and nutritious – samples of this week’s produce pick.
Wednesday, April 16 – The Top 8!, 1 – 3 p.m. Interested in learning what the top eight food allergens are? Come by the Dietitian’s Corner to find out and try a sample of an allergy friendly food too!
Friday, April 18, 25 – High Fiber Friday, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. What do trimming one’s waistline, lowering cholesterol levels and eating healthy on a budget have in common? Fiber! Visit the Dietitian’s Corner to discover how to meet recommended daily fiber requirements with ease.
Monday, April 21 – Right for Tonight Demo, 11 a.m. – 2 pm. Stop in the Dietitian’s Corner for tips on making healthy cooking both simple and flavorful!
Tuesday, April 22 – Earth Day!, 1 – 3 p.m. No better time to be green! Learn how some eco-friendly foods do double duty as household cleaners, skin moisturizers and conditioners for those lovely locks.
Saturday, April 26 – The Top 8!, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Interested in learning what the top eight food allergens are? Come by the Dietitian’s Corner to find out and try a sample of an allergy friendly food too!
Monday, April 28 – LiveRight Kids Day!, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Put the youngest chefs in the family on a healthy path with this fun-filled event! Children create and sample their own dishes and bring home the recipe too. Attendance at this event requires a parent or guardian and pre-registration is required due to space constraints.
ShopRite Serves as Weigh-In Station for Lighten Up Ramsey Program
ShopRite of Ramsey is a proud sponsor of the Lighten Up Ramsey Program and serves as a weekly weigh-in station for participants. A private-public partnership, the 12-week weight loss program emphasizes healthy eating, smart exercise and community together. ShopRite’s in-store dietitian is available to track the progress of participants, provide one-on-one consultations, give guided tours of the supermarket on request and also field all nutrition related questions on Tuesdays from 4 – 6 p.m., Wednesdays from 6 – 8 p.m. and Fridays from 1 – 2 p.m
