Celebrity Chef Barry E. Sexton Prepares Healthy Food for New Homeowner Event

LONG BRANCH, N.J., July 15, 2020 FEM Urban Renewal, LLC, developers of South Beach at Long Branch, hosted a social distanced gathering for new homeowners, featuring celebrity Chef Barry E. Sexton, owner/operator of The Opinionated Palate based in Philadelphia. More than two dozen guests attended the gathering held at the award-winning oceanfront development. South Beach welcomed its first residents in June

“This was a nice way to host a get-together for new residents and contract holders while being cautious,” said FEM CEO Mimi Feliciano, developer of South Beach at Long Branch. “The chef did a wonderful job serving food and drink while eliminating the use of shareable items. And residents were still able to meet their new neighbors while maintaining social distancing.

“The chef was great. I loved his American flair,” said Robyn Udell, who recently moved into her new residence. “It was wonderful to meet everyone, and it was nice to do something during this time. The South Beach team went all out. It felt very family-like.”

Known for his gourmet catering, Chef Sexton prepared a variety of healthy appetizers presented in individual grab and go servings, including rack of lamb, shrimp shooters, chicken tacos and lobster mac and cheese. Chef Sexton’s career in the food industry spans nearly a decade, and includes work at some premiere restaurants and hotels in Philadelphia and Bucks County areas.
