Residents Create Works of Love for Local Animal Shelters
SPRINGFIELD Twp., Pa. (June 12, 2023) — Springfield Crossings Personal Care celebrated National Pet Month in May by creating works of love for local animal shelters. The personal care community donated 45 handmade pet toys and 15 blankets.
Some furry friends joined the action, too! Pictured is resident Marty Mitchell getting some love from Teddy, who visited Springfield with Robyn Van Dusen from Caring Hospice Service.
Joining in on the fun, Adrianne Stevens, executive director at Springfield Crossings, brought in her new puppy, Levi, to take some photos with the residents. “Being a pet owner makes National Pet Month so important to me,” she said. “It was great fun to bring the joy of pets to the Springfield community, and the residents had so much fun making the toys and putting together donations.”
National Pet Month is celebrated in May. The month-long observation was first organized in 2006 by the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS), and it has been celebrated every year since. The purpose of National Pet Month is to recognize the bond between humans and animals, as well as promote pet adoption across the country.
At Springfield Crossings, residents enjoy a fulfilling, worry-free lifestyle in a charming community with beautifully appointed apartments, gourmet dining and onsite rehab care. They also have access to the services they need, when they need them. Call (610) 595-9062 for more information or schedule a visit and tour.
